Why is my device not connecting to the app?
There are several potential reasons why your device may not be connecting to the app. Please follow the troubleshooting steps outlined below. If the issue is not resolved after completing a step, proceed to the next one.
- Make sure your device is powered on and fully charged/has batteries, depending on your device.
- Hard close the app and then reopen.
Directions to hard close an app on IOS:
- Swipe Up from the Bottom: Start from the bottom edge of your screen and swipe up to the middle. Hold for a moment until the app switcher appears.
- Locate the App: Swipe left or right to find the app you want to close.
- Flick Upward: Swipe the app’s preview card upward to force close it.
Directions to hard close an app on Android:
- Access your multitasking interface using one of the following options:
If your smartphone has three icons at the bottom of the screen, tap either the three vertical lines button (Samsung Galaxy devices) or the square button (most other Android devices).
If your smartphone has a single horizontal line and uses a swipe-gesture system to navigate, swipe up from the bottom to the middle of the screen, hold for a moment, then release.
- Place your finger on the app you wish to close, then swipe it up and away.
Note: Due to the vast array of smartphone manufacturers, some older Android devices may handle accessing multitasking differently. Visit your manufacturer's support page for more information on using multitasking with Android.
- Check the Bluetooth settings on your phone to make sure they are enabled.
